Like many others, my amputation doesn't define who I am, but it has obviously played a big part of my life. Having been married previously (got divorced before I was diagnosed with cancer and had the below-knee amputation) I have certainly faced some challenges in the last five years, but I am now ready to meet my true love and raise a family. I have no regrets about being married before; she just wasn't the one! I am an eternal optimist - "the moral arc of the universe is long but it bends toward justice" - and everything I try to do is in order to make a positive impact on my life and those around me.
